Stretching Legs
After looking very hard for good looking highway pegs, I decided to wait a little for something design with the GL1800 in mind. I like the Kuryakyn 4050 Ergo Pegs but the mounts hit the floor before the bars and I don't like that. I had those in my Valkyrie and during a heavy drop, they forced the pegs against the engine cover and broke the mounting arm. I saw these ones while attending the Wing Ding and love them. They are adjustable as the Kury but the mounting bracket is slicker. Also allowed me to mount the peg in a way that while closed, doesn't hide the engine cover (one of the prettiest parts of this bike). Another good addition is that they extend wider so my legs doesn't touch the fairing (I'm 6' tall). Last but not least, the pegs may be positioned while riding to allow a complete stretch of my legs. Highly recommended.

Kuryakyn Driver Pegs

I had these grips in my Valk and really loved them. The OEM grips are too small for my hand. These grips are wider and the rubber inserts allow better air circulation and better grips. They required to remove the weights to install them. They improved the vibration over the OEM grips. After using them for some time, I decided to install also the weights to improve more the vibration in the handlebars. To do that, I needed to use a dremmel tool and expand the holes a little bit. Then inserted the weights a viola! I got improved vibration dampening so I chromed the weights and I think the grips looks sportier now. I get a lot of compliments now.

In the last picture you may see the Kuryakyn Dually ISO Pegs. They are way better looking than the OEM and are not expensive. Also I installed a chromed shifter cover that is for the Valk and looks really nice.

Backrest Utopia GL1800

This is "THE" Backrest. Utopia did a great job doing a backrest that looks from factory. It is a great addition for long trips but I don't want to have it all the time. There are some instances where a sportier look is required and that is the beauty of this backrest. For a little more, I ordered the quick release. The second picture shows how the seat looks without the backrest that only takes a little pull to get it out. The third picture shows the backrest out of the bike. Nice!!!!!

Awesome...these tips looks really nice. They are pricey, very pricey, but after hesitating for long time, I decided I want them so bad that expending that money will not hurt me. Well, after the installation and all the compliments received, I would do it again :-)
